The Light
It called me out of dark shadows
Barren wastelands
Violent storms
With rain upon my face
To wash a hidden soul
Behind my eyes
What else could I have done?
Suffering had
Worn me down
To the blood in my bones
My feet scraped from
Forgetting shoes
Lost in looking for protection
Forgetting what
My heart gave me
Your light awoke me yet again
Released my eyes
Washed my feet
Said my name
